Everything you need to know about Starview MENU

Getting Started

After signing in with your Google account, you'll be prompted to add your first restaurant. Enter your restaurant name, upload a logo, and provide basic details. Once created, you can start adding menu items using our 7-step wizard that guides you through categories, descriptions, photos, dietary info, variants, and add-ons.

No! You get a generous 60-day trial or 500 unique menu views (whichever comes first) completely free. No credit card required. This gives you plenty of time to build your menu and see if it works for your business before making any payment commitment.

Yes! Each account can manage up to 3 restaurants. Each restaurant has its own independent subscription, menu, and analytics. This is perfect for restaurant groups or owners with multiple locations.

Menu Creation

Pricing & Subscriptions

When you reach 60 days or 500 unique views, you'll need to subscribe to continue. Your menu remains accessible in read-only mode, but you won't be able to make changes until you select a subscription plan. No data is lost, and you can subscribe at any time to regain full access.

We offer three plans: Monthly at $20/month (cancel anytime), Day Pass at $8.00 for 24 hours of full access (perfect for special events or temporary needs), and Annual at $200/year (save 17% compared to monthly). Each subscription covers one restaurant.

Yes! Monthly and annual subscriptions can be canceled at any time through your dashboard. You'll retain access until the end of your billing period. Day Pass subscriptions automatically expire after 24 hours. All your menu data remains saved if you decide to resubscribe later.

The Day Pass gives you 24 hours of full access to edit your menu, starting from the moment of purchase. It's ideal for making quick updates before a special event, adding seasonal items, or trying the platform for a day. After 24 hours, your menu remains visible but you can't edit until purchasing another pass or subscription.

Yes, each restaurant requires its own subscription. This allows you to manage subscriptions independently - for example, keeping one restaurant on monthly while another is on annual, or letting one trial while another is paid. Each restaurant also has its own trial period.

Public Menu & Sharing

Your menu is accessible via a direct URL (e.g., starviewmenu.com/public-menu.cfm?id=123) or by scanning a QR code. Both are provided in your dashboard. Customers can view your menu on any device without needing to log in or download anything.

The QR code links directly to your public menu. Print it on table tents, window decals, business cards, or receipts. Customers scan it with their phone camera to instantly access your menu - no app required. The QR code is available for download in your dashboard.

Yes! The public menu is fully responsive and optimized for phones, tablets, and desktop computers. Most customers view restaurant menus on mobile devices, so we've designed the experience to be fast, clear, and easy to navigate on smaller screens.

Custom SEO-friendly URLs (like starviewmenu.com/your-restaurant-name) are on our roadmap. Currently, menus use ID-based URLs, but your restaurant name and logo are prominently displayed at the top of your public menu for easy identification.

Features & Functionality

Variants are different versions of the same item (Small/Medium/Large, Grilled/Fried, Mild/Spicy). Each variant can have its own price. Add-ons are extras customers can add (Extra Cheese, Add Bacon, Side of Ranch). Both help customers understand their options without cluttering your menu with duplicate items.

You can tag items as Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, Nut-Free, and more. You can also mark allergens (Contains Nuts, Contains Dairy, etc.) and set spice levels (Mild, Medium, Hot, Very Hot). These appear as clear icons on your public menu, helping customers make informed choices quickly.

Yes! Your dashboard shows visitor analytics including unique views, repeat views, total page views, and view history over time. This helps you understand customer engagement and tracks progress toward your 500-view trial limit.

Currently, Starview MENU is a display-only digital menu. It's designed to replace printed menus and help customers browse your offerings. Integration with ordering systems is on our roadmap, but for now, orders are taken traditionally (in-person, by phone, or through your existing ordering system).

From your dashboard, click "Manage Menu" to see all your items. Click the edit icon on any item to update its details, price, photo, or availability. Changes appear on your public menu immediately. You can also delete items you no longer serve.

Technical & Account

We use Google OAuth for secure, password-free authentication. This means you don't need to create and remember another password, and your account is protected by Google's security infrastructure. We only access your basic profile information (name and email).

Your menu data is preserved when you cancel. Your public menu remains visible to customers, but you won't be able to edit items until you resubscribe. All your photos, descriptions, categories, and settings are saved and ready when you decide to return.

Yes! We use Stripe for payment processing. Your credit card information never touches our servers - it goes directly to Stripe, which is certified to the highest level of payment security standards (PCI Level 1). We only receive a token confirming your payment.

Menu export functionality is planned for future release. Currently, you can manually copy your menu content from the management interface. If you need your data in a specific format, contact us and we'll help you get what you need.

Contact us through the support email in your dashboard to request account deletion. We'll cancel any active subscriptions and remove your data according to our data retention policy. Note that this action is permanent and cannot be undone.

Starview MENU works on all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. For the best experience, keep your browser updated to the latest version. The public menu is optimized to work on any device with a web browser.
